Vintage Edwardian Clothes Brush
Perfect clothes brush from the early 1900s. Natural hair bristles ( perhaps boars hair?), set in a wood base which is then covered in a silver tone repousse cover. I do not believe it is sterling nor silver plate, its just not heavy enough,, but it may be tin or nickel or some such. Its gorgeous either way, with its lovey design of florals and swirls. Just shy of 5.5" long, 1.75" tall and 1.25" wide.
Excellent vintage condition. The bristles seem secure nd strong, they are not breaking or dry. The base is sturdy and not dinged or bent. There is some patina to the silver tone but it is, I believe, intentional and original as it doesn't seem to polish out and frankly, is what gives this piece its charm.
Please note: This is a vintage, preworn and/or preloved item, and as such is one of a kind and not eligible for returns or refunds. I do my utmost best to list any issues, but signs of wear should be expected, and there are occasionally small things I won't deem worthy of note. Please feel free to send me a missive with any questions. I'm truly happy to help in any way possible and I'm always up for a chat.
